You may have noticed (or rather not) the lack of publicity surrounding our season of HeddaGablerGablerGabler. Rather, we have recently spent our time dealing with the tough decisions sparked by COVID-19. Will we cancel the show? Have we got room to postpone it? Are we putting our audiences at risk?

We can now inform you that La Mama has postponed our season (along with some other kick ass shows) until 2021. Please contact La Mama regarding ticketing information.

Whilst we are deeply saddened by this, our audience's, cast's, and crew's safety comes first and this was not a risk we were willing to take.

Keep dreaming, keep creating and keep in touch. Our doors are always open (not literally though, please stay home).

Frenetic: fast and energetic in a rather wild and uncontrolled way.

Frenetic Theatre is a Melbourne based independent theatre company established in 2020 by Brooke Simmonds and Max Woods.

With a background in technical production, Brooke and Max have created Frenetic Theatre out of the desire to elicit a sense of community amongst our audiences, for the hour or so that they join us. Make new best friends through our storytelling, then return to the outside world and create stories of your own.

We believe the chaos of theatre lies within the ever-changing environment. You create the atmosphere. You are wild. You are uncontrolled. We are merely the narrators, responding to you, responding to us.

Our first project of 2020 is a co-production with Paper Mouth Theatre at La Mama. A competitive deconstruction of Ibsen’s greatest heroine: HeddaGablerGablerGabler.

Frenetic wishes to bring power to young creatives, providing a platform for their artistic voices to be heard. If you have any ideas or proposals, please do not hesitate to contact us. The performing arts thrives on collaboration.
