The best seat in the house is at the bar.

Watch the shake, the pour, the garnish, then clock the room around you filling up. Wax's cocktail list has something for every mood, from an Espresso Martini to kick things off to a Blueberry Gin Sour or a Penicillin when you want something with a bit more bite. Or ask the bartender what they’re making for themselves tonight.

Come early, grab a stool and watch the room come alive.

Like a book club for records. One secret album. No phones. No talking.

Wax Music Lounge, Saturday 7th November, 2PM.

November’s secret record is a raw masterwork cut from voice notes, spoken poetry, and euphoric rave energy. Written through profound grief, fierce loyalty, and working-class youth, it demands presence.

Tickets are limited to keep the room intimate. Visit the Waxmusiclounge.com to get yours!

Two record store guys walked into a basement and said, “What if we just kept going?”

Wax Museum Records, twice voted a top 10 record store in the world, wasn’t enough. Guy and Tim wanted the room too. So the architects came in, the lighting designers came in, Pitt & Giblin came in, and the record store grew a bar, a stage and a dancefloor. It's really a home away from home for a lot of us.

It’s still the same crew and the same obsession, only now we get to be a part of the ever-growing live music scene in Melbourne.

Have a listen to Guy speak about the journey so far!

If these spritzes were records: sunny soul, soft disco, bittersweet jazz.

Limoncello Spritz. Sunny soul. Sharp lemon up front, sweetness rounding it out, the kind of drink that makes a basement feel like a terrace in Amalfi.

Mandarin Spritz. Soft disco. Sweet citrus that goes down way too smoothly and looks even better in the glass. Good for first-round energy and for convincing the friend who “doesn’t really drink cocktails.”

Pampelle Spritz. Bittersweet jazz. Pampelle is a French grapefruit aperitif, so you get a bittersweet edge, a little bitterness doing the work sugar usually does. This is the drink to have in your hand while the DJ digs into something deep.

Which spritz is your soundtrack? Drop it below, and tag whoever’s shouting the first round tonight 👀
