What an experience ✨together we’ve been able to step into a different space as Māori Cultural Designers, showcasing and representing Māori cultural arts, creativity, and design.
Island Haus Runway a space where fashion, culture, craftsmanship and community come together giving Pacific creatives, models, artists a platform to be seen, heard and celebrated.
To be congratulated and recognised for the time, dedication and hard mahi that went into bringing it all together was incredibly special.
Looking back, we never would’ve imagined chasing our full potential or seeing our work on a runway like this. We would’ve still been fabricating reasons, telling ourselves we weren’t ready and holding ourselves back from what we were capable of.
But here we are. Creating. Representing. Pushing boundaries. And proving to ourselves that the potential was always there.
This has been a special one for us, excited for what our creators hands have ahead waiting in the midst.
