Siobhan Jennings grew up on the coast of Western Australia and now lives amongst the bushland of the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Her watercolour paintings are inspired by her curiosity and wonder of the natural world. As an environmental engineer she is drawn to questioning the inner workings of natural systems and understanding the interconnectedness of our world. Siobhan’s process begi

ns with a connection to a place from her travels around Australia or abroad. Her paintings take on their own life as she explores the movement and changing landscape of our world, often represented through her use watercolour textures. Layering and glazing her paints, you will usually see at least one stroke of her favourite colour, Opera Pink. Siobhan utilises mixed media in her details to create a sense of inquisitiveness. Through her work Siobhan unpacks and re-presents the natural world, sparking your imagination and curiosity.
