shows us around The Nook!

Damien is a part of our Creative Development Program - working within the residency on slightly different terms to support his practice.

We always aim to work with artists, not just offer a one-size-fits-all structure. Every creative process looks different, and we want people to be able to get the most out of their time in the space.

In Damien’s case, he has access to a private office within the studio, something that supports his current practice. This is a unique setup and not something that’s part of the standard residency offering, but it reflects how we try to adapt where we can.

• Creative Development Residency •

Our Creative Development Residency is designed to give artists the time, space, and support to explore, experiment, and bring ideas to life.

Whether you’re in the early stages of a concept or refining a work in progress, this residency offers a dedicated environment to create without pressure. With access to our studio, generous rehearsal time, and a space that encourages collaboration, it’s all about investing in process over outcome.

We welcome dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, musicians, and multidisciplinary artists who are looking to push their practice further. This is a space to take risks, try new things, and develop work on your own terms.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to dive into a project… this is it.

An update from us in regards to our ongoing classes.

As the newness of our space is still finding its feet we have made a shift to what we are currently offering.

We will still be offering classes and workshops in a variety of different formats, for now the Tuesday evening class and Saturday class are not continuing.

But we have our wonderful jazz class still happening every Wednesday.

This space ✨ We are in love!

18 × 12m sprung floor with Tarkett, and somehow it still surprises everyone who walks in.

From open classes with artists like Nikki Tarling to punk rock bands, large dance companies, video shoots, rehearsals, development, and even a possible small race car event 👀

We love how many different worlds are colliding here, and we’re so excited about the people walking through our doors at Interconnect.
