Join .cosmos for a Part 1 of a two part immersive workshop exploring how we relate to space, what happens in the space industry and decolonial space practices for now and the future.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐎𝐧𝐞:
How often do you think about Space, and in what way?
In this workshop we explore our own personal and social connections to the cosmos, to deeper understand how we have come to relate to it. We investigate how these relationships ultimately inform a myriad of space-related activities. So, what's going on in this sector and why should we care? With all the astronaut billionaires, rockets, and space junk...are we in a space crisis?

Happening on the evening of April 7th, at Black Spark.

Optional donation at the door to support:
Aunty Sue's fight to protect Kokotha Country from military rocket testing.

Happening this Friday at 6.30pm: a forum with and

We will hear about the inspiring stories of resistance of the Mapuche people, indigenous to Southern Chile and Argentina, and how it compares to what is happening in Victoria.

The discussion will begin with presentations from Marisol, a Mapuche member of the Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET), and Chris, member of Forest Conservation Victoria. We will then have a discussion about how we can do international solidarity, and how this effects our campaigning on forests, climate and beyond. The conversation will be facilitated by Anisa from the Degrowth Network Australia.

The event is free, with snacks provided. It is a wheelchair accessible event with an accessible toilet. If you want to give a donation on the night it will go towards to paying the transport costs for the lawyers who are representing Mapuche political prisoners pro bono.
