Try this 👇
1. Load up an arpeggiator on your drum rack
2. Set it to random
3. Lay down a MIDI clip with all notes hitting at once
4. Let the arp generate variations

Instant movement without overthinking it.

This is one of those tricks that can completely break you out of repetitive patterns.

If you’re stuck writing melodies, it’s usually not the notes…

It’s the rhythm.

Try this approach:
1. Set the pitch to the root note of your scale
2. Use the rhythm tool to generate a pattern
3. Focus only on getting a groove that feels good
4. Then move the notes to shape the melody

You separate rhythm from pitch—which makes everything way easier.

Simple, but very effective.
