A few weeks before the GFC (remember that), I walked away from a big corporate salary. The timing looked catastrophic from the outside. The world chose that exact moment to fall apart.

Here's what I learned in the months after. The fear that shows up when everything's uncertain is loud, and it is a terrible advisor. It tells you to undo good decisions at the worst possible time.

Staying grounded isn't about pretending you're not scared. It's about having a few steps to follow when your head is spinning, so you keep moving forward instead of freezing.

That's what this week's episode gives you, a five-step way through the wobble. 🎧

You finally made the call. You left the job, started the business, ended the relationship, put your money into something new.

Then the ground moved. Rates shifted, the headlines turned anxious, and the decision you felt sure about a month ago suddenly feels shaky.

This week's episode is about that exact moment, when a big personal change runs straight into outside uncertainty, and your confidence wobbles right when you need it most. I left a high-earning corporate job a few weeks before the Global Financial Crisis hit, so I know this one from the inside.

Uncertainty doesn't mean you got it wrong. It means you're in the messy middle of change. I share a five-step framework for finding your feet again. Have a listen. 🎧

Financial confidence doesn't come from controlling the world. It comes from knowing how you'll respond when the world changes.

We can't set the petrol price or the interest rate or the headline. What we can do is the small, practical stuff that brings the calm back. Look at what's fixed in your spending and what's flexible. Make one or two transport decisions that take the edge off. Notice when you're reacting from scarcity and step back.

None of that controls the economy. All of it puts you back in the driver's seat of your own money.

If the news cycle has you tense, this week's episode is a steadying hour. 🎧

You pull up to the bowser, watch the numbers spin, and feel like somethings off.

Petrol has become the thing everyone's talking about, and it's standing in for a much larger worry about where the economy is headed. This week I get into why a number on a sign can set off real financial anxiety, and why that feeling tends to spread through a community well before anything shifts in the data.

Women often feel this more sharply, usually because we're holding more moving parts at once. When costs climb, those margins feel tighter.

The good news is that panic was never the fix. Have a listen. 🎧

Part of what I do is take the shame and blame out of the money conversation and bring money into the light so you can make some really good decisions.

Most of us run our whole financial life out of one bucket. The renovation wipes out the savings, the school fees swallow the investing, and money starts to feel chaotic even on a good income.

The fix is to split it into three pools. Lifestyle money for the everyday, project money for the big things you want to do, and future money for the wealth you're building for later. Separate them and the pressure eases, because a project stops feeling like it is robbing your retirement.

Stop asking can I afford this. Start asking what's the smartest way to fund it. 🎧

Somewhere around 45, you will wake up one morning and think, hang on, how prepared am I for what comes next?

You've spent twenty years building a career and raising a family while the mortgage ticked along in the background. Wealth was never really the plan. It happened, or it didn't.

This week's episode is the midlife financial reset, the kind that comes from clarity instead of panic. We talk net worth, the three pools your money should live in, and how to fund the things you still want to do without wrecking your future.

Might be the most useful hour you give yourself this year. Link in bio. 🎧

Two women earn the exact same salary. Ten years later one is wealthy and one is still treading water. The difference is how much they understand money.

One built a system that turned income into assets. The other let her lifestyle expand to match every pay rise.

In this week's episode I walk through five shifts that move a well-paid woman to a wealthy one, starting with the simplest and most confronting of them, knowing your real numbers.

Wealth comes down to what you keep and what you build, not what lands in your account. Have a listen if you missed it. 🎧

You can earn good money, in fact you earn really good money, but still feel like it slips through your fingers every single month.

That's the episode this week. The gap between a strong income and real wealth, and why being brilliant at earning has almost nothing to do with knowing how to keep and build it. Most of us were never taught the second part.

If your money feels more like a fast-moving river than something solid underneath you, this one is for you.
