Persian storytelling through music, poetry, and shadow puppetry

In “The Storytellers,” Vahideh Eisaei—curator, composer, and qanun player—revisits traditional Persian music and poetry through a contemporary lens. She is joined by dancer and theatre maker Elnaz Sheshgelani and opera singer Issie Hart, who together create a tapestry of narrative and sound.

Through music, dance, and shadow puppetry, this celebration of modern-day storytelling pays homage to the female experience, creating a tapestry of narrative and sound that depict their struggles and triumphs.
