In Frame Film Club | Leviathan (2014) Screening & Discussion in English

Join us on June 21 for a screening of Leviathan, the acclaimed film by Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev.

Winner of the Best Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards, Leviathan is a powerful drama about an ordinary man confronting corruption, power, and fate in a small town on Russia's northern coast. Rich in symbolism and unforgettable imagery, the film continues to spark discussion more than a decade after its release.

⏱️«Обратный отсчёт» прошел!⏱️

🎉 Вечер той пятницы получился невероятно насыщенным, музыкальным и стал ярким стартом нового сезона игр «Что? Где? Когда?».

🏆 В напряжённой и принципиальной борьбе победу одержала команда «Ким Чен Ён» (13 баллов). С минимальным отрывом второе место заняли наши сиднейские друзья — «Южный крест» (12 баллов). Бронза — у команды «Белиберда» (9 баллов).

🏁 Старт взят, значит, уже совсем скоро наступит «Зимняя серия» ЧГК, где в течение трёх туров команды будут усердно бороться за звание чемпиона года.

On December 12, 2020, the newly formed Young Guard collective hosted its first official gig…

It’s been 5 years since then… 😲

Who could have thought it would bring us to where we are now – spinning all sorts of events: from block parties to art exhibits, from lectures to movie nights, from intellectual games to theatrical performances.

What began with six friends who happened to find themselves in Brunswick sharehouse, has since grown into a team of more than 20 active members, spread not only across Melbourne but around the globe.

A lot has changed, but one thing hasn’t: we’re still driven by the pure joy of sharing our culture and simply having fun together.

Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported us along the way — for showing up, for cheering us on, and for buying tickets.
