ARTIST PROFILE. ROCK BOTTOM was a member of Sydney’s legendary Vibe Tribe during the early to mid-‘90s under a different alias. A lifelong vinyl DJ, he became a regular fixture of Australia’s underground rave movement, playing Vibe Tribe events, warehouse raves, parties and doofs throughout the ‘90s and early 2000s. In 1998, he performed a three-hour live set on Triple J’s Mix Up, before going on to play Junglepunks, TRIP2SPACE, SWARM, his own signature events, and Melbourne favourites Teriyaki and Filter. After stepping away from the decks, Rock Bottom has returned to Melbourne’s underground with his unmistakable blend of vinyl acid techno, punk attitude and anti-establishment energy. His sets stay true to the original acid techno movement—raw, uncompromising and built for the warehouse.
Fresh from organising the P.I.M.P Australian Tour ’25 under his ROXX BOXX alias, Rock Bottom recently collaborated with Outsider Records and Stealth System to deliver the explosive Carnival ov Carnage tour, bringing DICA (FR) Live on Machines and Chief303 (UK) back to Australia for a series of club and illegal warehouse events. Having shared the stage with artists including Chris Liberator, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Sterling Moss, Biochip C, Austin Corrosive, CJ Bolland, Chief303 and DICA, Rock Bottom continues to champion authentic vinyl acid techno and the underground rave culture that started it all.
