🌙✨ What is Lunar New Year? ✨🌙

Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations in many cultures. It marks the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar, usually falling between late January and mid-February.

At its heart, Lunar New Year is about:
🏮 Family reunions
🧧 Honouring ancestors
🍊 Wishing for health, prosperity, and good fortune
🎆 Fresh starts and new beginnings

✨ While traditions differ, the spirit is shared globally. No matter where it’s celebrated, Lunar New Year is a time to reflect, reconnect, and welcome hope for the year ahead.

This February, in collaboration with Zen Oasis, we invite you to explore the meaning of the Year of the Horse through our cultural program at the AustrAsia Cultural Centre.
