Co-creating with, or alongside your child builds connection. You don’t need to work on the same artwork, you might work on your own creation, next to your child.

This validates their creativity as they see you working through challenges and planning your artworks.

By spending even a short amount of time in this way your child learns the following

🌻Art making is a valid pass time

🌻I can express my ideas and feelings in this way

🌻I can share and take turns with materials

🌻My parent values me and my creativity

Sometimes the conversations might be about the art, and sometimes the deepest conversations happen when the focus is on something else.
