Children express themselves continually through verbal (words, laughter, tears) and actions (choosing, refusing and seeking). Often were find ourselves reacting trying to predict their every move and cater to their needs.

Slowing things down a little and giving ourselves time to create worth and alongside our children helps them to co-regulate.

We build close and responsive relationships with children by giving ourselves time to notice their behaviours, respond with kind intent and reflect on the outcomes.

This builds connection and builds your child’s confidence in themselves.

Children are born with many capabilities, personalities and ways of communicating their needs and preferences with us.

We set the foundation for secure relationships by responding to their needs and following their lead. Enabling our children to share “their voice” and responding to them builds trust and the a sense of safety.

Supporting their expression through creativity enables children to share their voice in ways that do not require language skills or the ability to express themselves in the “right” way. It’s open ended and inclusive.
