THE MOCK JACK & JILL 🏆

Join Sonia & James + Wesley & Rachel in this 1.5-hour course combining a competition briefing, mock Jack & Jill rounds and discussion.

Taking place before the actual competition, this session will help you get familiar with its structure and flow, understand what judges look for and practise dancing under pressure.

The aim is to recreate the competition environment as closely as possible — giving you a chance to train through the nerves, excitement and unpredictability of Jack & Jill in a fun, supportive setting.

The mock competition will follow the BZDC Novice format, but is open to EVERYONE — whether you’ve never competed, are preparing for your first Jack & Jill, or already compete in Novice or a higher division.

Open to Zoukers with 2+ years of experience, this course is designed for aspiring teachers, assistants, newer teachers and experienced teachers keen to hear different perspectives and refine the way they share Zouk with others.

This course is not designed to qualify you as a teacher — it’s a chance to learn, explore ideas, ask questions and build stronger foundations for the future.

INTER STYLING CHOREOGRAPHY 🔥

A rare collaboration between international artist Mariana and Sydney-based instructor Alana, bringing two distinct styles and perspectives together for a dedicated 3-hour choreography course at One Zouk, spread across two 1.5-hour sessions.

Designed for intermediate dancers and open to both leaders and followers, the course will explore styling, musicality, expression and movement quality through choreography created specifically for the weekend.

INTER-ADV LAMBADA 💃🏻

Ready to take your Lambada to the next level?

Mariana + Allan & Vick will be running a 3-hour Intermediate–Advanced Lambada course at One Zouk, giving Lambada dancers with experience the chance to deepen their knowledge, refine their technique and explore more of the style with our international artists.

The course will run as two 1.5-hour workshops across two days, with dedicated practice time to explore and consolidate what you’ve learned.

Curious about DJing for Brazilian Zouk? Tayler / DJ Foxy will be running a 3-hour introductory DJ course at One Zouk, covering some of the foundations and practical skills involved in getting started.

The course will run as two 1.5-hour sessions across two days, giving you some time between sessions to absorb and come back ready for part two.

It’s designed for anyone interested in understanding a little more about what goes on behind the decks — no previous DJ experience needed.
