The spray park and water features at Maylands Waterland will be temporarily closed on Thursday, 5 February, from around 9:00am to 1:00pm.

This closure is due to a wider area shutdown required to facilitate urgent Water Corp works. While the water features will be offline during this period, dry play areas will remain open and available as usual.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to plan your visit accordingly.

Our friends at Bayswater Waves are putting on their Family Fun Day this Sunday! 🎉

The Bayswater Waves Family Fun Day is happening in less than two weeks, and it’s the perfect way to spend the back end of the School Holidays! 🌊

Join us on Sunday 18 January, 12–4pm for an afternoon of family-friendly fun, including:

🌊 Wave sessions all day
🎧 DJ
🎨 Face painting

💦 Extra Hour of Water Play at Maylands Waterland!

Good news, Waterland families! From 5 January to 1 February 2026, our spray park and water features will run for an extra hour each day, giving visitors even more time to splash, cool off and enjoy the heart of summer. ☀️

Extended Water Feature Hours:
9:00am – 6:00pm (5 Jan – 1 Feb)

Outside of this period, water feature operating hours remain:
9:00am – 5:00pm
(Regular season times)

A reminder that water features do not operate on Christmas Day.

Bring the kids, pack a picnic and make the most of the long summer afternoons at Maylands Waterland!

☀️ Stay Sun-Smart at Maylands Waterland 💦

As we welcome the return of the spray park and water features from 9:00am tomorrow, we’re reminding all visitors to be sun safe when enjoying the space.

Due to late winter storms, shade sail installation has been delayed.
For safety reasons, they’ll now be installed in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, please come prepared with:

🧴 Sunscreen
🧢 Hats
👕 Sun-safe clothing

The splash returns this Saturday! 💦

Maylands Waterland’s spray park and water features reopen at 9:00am on Saturday 27 September, running right through until the end of the April 2026 school holidays.

Our dry play areas remain open all year round, and the water fun kicks off just in time for the warmer weather 🌞

🐣 Easter & ANZAC Day Update 🐣

Planning a visit to Maylands Waterland this holiday period?

💧 Water play features will be CLOSED on Good Friday (18 April)
☀️ From Saturday 19 April to ANZAC Day (25 April), the spray park and water features will be open as normal from 9am to 5pm

🍃 The dry playground, BBQs and toilets remain open every day — even when the water play is closed.
