Artwork I created and painted on 3 columns at and for the Sydney Central Hotel’s lobby.

Artwork description

This artwork represents a meeting place where staff and guests come together, reflecting shared journeys and stories. It honours the land on which the hotel stands on, Gadigal, acknowledging its deep cultural history and continuing connection to Country. The design symbolises connection, respect, and belonging-linking people, place and community.

Thank you Jim paras and managers for your hospitality, and looking after me, your staff are so helpful and friendly.

Mural completed today after 2 and a half weeks, at Sydney Technical High School, Bexley.
I really enjoyed my time there, the teachers and students are so nice there. Today was special, having the students engaged in the artwork and explaining the meaning behind it to them.They were so into it and wanted to know more about our culture. And to have it completed on Reconciliation week was really something. 🤎🩵

Another special collaboration with son Dennis, one day mural. Thanks to the team at Aesop for gathering us around in a circle and to hear our us talk about our stories and the meaning behind the artwork. The artwork features me and my sons hands which talks about the sharing of art and knowledge. It’s something that has continued from the work of our ancestors who have passed their knowledge to live on. 💜💜

After we finally finished painting this mural by @ that includes motifs and symbols from young traditional owners we stood back and had a quiet moment of reflection thinking how sad I was that it was coming to an end after 2 long weeks. I was so relieved but grateful that we finished because it was such an amazing experience to paint with Dennis and Hannah. Definitely one to remember ❤️
