Three years ago the Greek National Guard participated in the annual Anzac Day march in the city of Sydney.

While we view this video, we reflect on our Australian, New Zealander and Greek soldiers who have been allies throughout conflicts in modern history, dating back to the First World War.

In 2020, due to COVID-19 social distancing measures, Anzac Day commemorations were restrained, including cancellation of marches such as the one recorded in this video.

Government restrictions due to the Corona Virus have halted the regular church services hosted in lieu of Greek Easter.

The following video shows the path that the Epitaphio has taken all these years on Good Friday at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Marrickville.

The Epitaphio is carried of an evening, however the following video has been filmed during daylight hours for viewing purposes.

Today marks the 151st anniversary of the Ολοκαύτωμα της Μονής Αρκαδίου. We remember the Cretans which sacrificed themselves in the name of freedom, rather than surrendering to the invading Turkish forces.
The following is a short montage of the Cretan Association of Sydney and NSW, 150th Anniversary commemorative dance for Arkadi in 2016.

They are very excited to be hosting Manolis Alexakis and Giorgos Rerakis this Saturday the 11th of November 2017 in commemoration of the 151st anniversary of Arkadi.
