Our next up coming dances !

Community grants make a huge difference to small volunteer-run halls like the Maroon School of Arts. Without this support, many important maintenance and improvement projects would simply not happen.

We would like to thank Scenic Rim Regional Council for funding repairs to the stage wall and ceiling following storm damage. Water ingress had caused significant damage, and the repairs have helped protect the building for future community use.

We also thank the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund for funding the upgrade of the rear deck area, including a new ramp and stairs providing safer and improved access to the additional toilet facilities.

A special thank you also goes to our members and local community volunteers who contributed countless hours of in-kind labour to help complete these projects. Whether it was painting, preparation work, clean-up or lending a hand wherever needed, your efforts have saved the hall thousands of dollars. Painting is never anyone’s favourite job, but many hands made light work.

These projects help ensure our hall remains a safe, accessible and welcoming place for dances, meetings, community events and gatherings. We are grateful for the support of both our funding bodies and our community in helping keep this important local asset thriving
