Starting as a stained glass artist, I’ve extended my interests to include fused and cast glass, painted glass, bead making and torchwork with some dabbling in the hot glass studio. I’ve studied with many amazing artists from around the world both in Australia and the USA. I love teaching what I’ve learnt and am learning. Our architectural glasswork can be found in schools churches and thousands of homes in Tasmania and interstate

It was such a delight to receive these photos yesterday. I made the windows a fair while ago. The client has been building their own home, ordering the stained glass before many other essentials lol. Finally, the day of installation came!
I have the best job and meet the best people.

Just wow!
Since seeing this installation in the first stained glass reference book that I bought in 1990, I have wanted to see this in person. It was made by Gabriel Loire (France) and is situated at the Hakone open air museum in Japan. Dream come true
Also get to see Picasso, Rodin, Henry Moore (galore) and sculpture and garden to die for.

Ps- notice the resemblance to a Hobart building anyone? They were built at the same time!

Toyama (Japan) is home to the Toyama Museum of Glass, and the Toyama Glass institute and associated facilities. If you are travelling to Japan put Toyama on your itinerary. The architecture of the museum building is simply amazing. Thank you to the fabulous glass artists we met on our very brief visit. I will have to return one day.
