What an amazing day yesterday at the Old Stable Gallery in Mullalyup!

It feels like we’ve just planted the first seed of something truly special, the beginning of a creative journey that will unfold over the next three years.

I’m incredibly excited to see how this project will grow, evolve and be shaped by the people, stories and connections we make along the way.

A huge thank you to the Balingup community for such a warm welcome, Healthway and to DADAA for creating opportunities where art can bring people together, encourage participation, and give space to different voices and ways of expressing ourselves.

For me, this is what community-based art is all about: sharing knowledge, experimenting together, creating connections and allowing unexpected things to emerge through the process.
What a privilege feeling part of the team!

Yesterday was only the beginning.

I have the pleasure to announce a two Day intensive printmaking class with the amazing Nikki Green coming soon at the Butter factory in Denmark !

This two day Fri 26 & Sat 27th of June immersive workshop explores the intersection of traditional techniques and experimental processes to create one of a kind outcomes. Participants will investigate material transformation, surface development, and intuitive making through both structured and open ended approaches.

Across the two days, the class will move between established methods and experimental interventions, encouraging unexpected results, layered narratives, and highly individual works. Demonstrations, process-led exercises, and guided experimentation will support participants in developing unique states that embrace variation, risk, and discovery.

Designed for artists, makers, and curious practitioners interested in pushing material boundaries while remaining connected to traditional foundations.

What an awesome long weekend - I knew we would’ve had fun but I wasn’t expecting this fantastic outcome. The participants were all professional creatives humble like real masters and I truly loved it all!

Johanna and Greg are wonderful people with their own unique capabilities and manners - what a gem of a place the Greenhills Art Centre!

The best insight I go home with is that humanity and curiosity are the best components for a better world!
The conversations, irony, wicked food and a safe space where to create have been important parts of the printmaking retreat!

Thank you so so much to everyone who made this possible!

It’s been an honour for me to be sharing what I love!

In November we will run another one and I personally cannot wait!
