Margaret River Theatre Group is excited to call auditions for The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race, written by Melanie Tait and Directed by Ian Smith.

We are looking for women aged 30–75 to join the cast of this hilarious, heartfelt, quintessentially Australian production. Whether you’re an experienced performer or new to the stage, we’d love to see you audition!

The Appleton Ladies' Potato Race is a warm-hearted Australian comedy-drama set in the small country town of Appleton, where the annual potato race is a long-standing tradition.

Filled with humour, heart, and recognisable country-town characters, the play explores
friendship, resilience, and the challenges of changing long-held traditions while celebrating community spirit.
