Did you hear? We’ve locked in the dates for the 2027 Edible Gardens Festival and it’s returning to the Margaret River region from May 20-23 next year πŸ₯•πŸ₯‘πŸŒ

We’ll have two days of all-new productive gardens to explore, gardener talks and demonstrations to catch, stallholders sharing expert tips and advice, plus local produce, plants, food and drink.

And, our in-depth afternoon workshops will be back with a bunch of new topics, along with a couple of perennial favourites returning. This time workshops will run over 4 DAYS from Thursday to Sunday, so there’s more opportunities to attend.

We’re working on the program now, so if you have a fabulous productive garden you want to share with the community (or know someone who has), drop us a message!

Tickets and full program released in early 2027.

Thanks for all the support and can’t wait to see you at Edible Gardens Festival 2027!

🚌 A huge thank you to Cape to Cape Explorer Tours for helping keep the Edible Gardens Festival green!

For festivalgoers wanting to leave the car at home and travel sustainably between gardens, our festival bus service was the perfect solution. The buses helped take cars off the road, reduced our environmental footprint, and gave passengers a chance to relax and enjoy the journey through the beautiful Margaret River Region.

We're especially grateful to the amazing volunteer drivers who made it all possible: Lumari, Helen, Gene, Lucy and Ian. Their generosity, enthusiasm and willingness to donate their time helped hundreds of visitors make the most of their festival experience.

Thank you to the entire Cape to Cape Explorer Tours team for getting us from garden to garden safely, sustainably and with a smile πŸŒ±πŸšŒπŸ’š

πŸ„ What a fantastic session with David Harwood from Margaret River Mushrooms WA!

This workshop was a crowd favourite at the recent Edible Gardens Festival, with participants diving into the fascinating world of fungi, learning how mushrooms support healthy gardens and ecosystems, and getting hands-on with the basics of growing their own edible mushrooms at home.

Best of all, everyone left with their very own mushroom grow bag, ready to nurture and harvest at home. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with plenty of excited new fungi fans heading home inspired to keep growing.

A huge thank you to David for sharing his incredible knowledge, passion and expertise with our festival community.

Want more mushrooms in your life? Catch David and his amazing array of gourmet mushrooms every Saturday at the Margaret River Farmers Market.

πŸ„πŸŒ± From soil health to delicious harvests, this workshop showed just how magical fungi can be.

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Mike, pictured, who travelled down from Perth for the Edible Gardens Festival and was the lucky winning bidder at our Long Table Lunch auction!

Mike took home this Vegepod container gardening kit and says it will fit right in with the several container gardens he already has on the go. With a thriving balcony garden already producing plenty of goodies, this latest addition is sure to be put to good use.

A huge thank you to Vegepod for generously supporting the festival and helping us raise funds while inspiring more people to grow their own food.

Happy growing, Mike! 🌱πŸ₯¬πŸ…

Hats off to Shelter Brewing Co for supporting the Edible Gardens Festival and shouting our incredible volunteers and gardeners some great beers for our celebration 🍻

And the same goes for Wayfinder Wines with their lovely red and white vino.

It was the perfect way to bring everyone together and celebrate the people who make this event possible β€” from the gardeners generously opening their gates to the volunteers working behind the scenes.

We’re so grateful for the support of local businesses like Shelter Brewing and Wayfinder Wines who help make community events like this so special. Cheers legends! 🌱

Huge thanks to South West Tree Services for helping us give back to some of the amazing volunteers who help make the Edible Gardens Festival possible πŸŒΏπŸ‘

As part of their support for this year’s festival, the team generously donated a truckload of their beautiful aged mulch, which is now being shared among some of our key festival volunteers as a well-deserved thank you for all the time, energy and passion they pour into the event. 🌱

Mulch really is the secret weapon of a thriving garden β€” helping lock in moisture, suppress weeds, improve soil health and keep gardens looking fantastic year-round.

A big shout-out to Glen and the team at South West Tree Services for backing the festival and supporting our local gardening community once again. πŸŒ³πŸ’š

If you’re looking for quality aged mulch or need help with tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, firebreak compliance, storm damage or bushfire safety work across the South West, be sure to check them out at www.southwesttreeservices.com.au πŸ‘
