BUSINESS UPDATE:

As the cost of silver and gold has surged throughout 2025 (silver increased by ~150%, gold by ~70%!!!!!), I’ve found myself becoming increasingly mindful of every piece I create. The reality is that sourcing materials is becoming genuinely difficult to afford. Every piece you see online or in a shop represents not just the raw metals, but hours of design and hands-on making, all paid for upfront before it ever finds a home.

That growing investment has made creating feel heavier at times. The risk is larger, the stakes are higher and it naturally slows the pace at which I can comfortably make new work. I also understand how rising costs affect you, the consumer.

As material costs will no doubt continue to climb into 2026, here’s what you can expect from FCJ moving forward:

• Fewer pieces released
• Higher prices that reflect true costs
• Gold work available by commission only

What will not change is the care, intention, and craftsmanship behind every piece. Quantity may shift but quality never will.

I was thrilled to have played a part in creating this engagement ring back in May for a couple who are dear old friends. The design, inspired by the desert pea flower, was Matty's brainchild. The love and care that went into it made it a true honor to bring to life.

A very magical first few days to kick off

I do something that I’m passionate about and you beautiful people spend your valuable time and energy to come support my dream. On top of that, some of you even want to take pieces home and wear them! I mean, are you kidding me…. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 I’ve only cried a couple times 😭🥹🙏

This necklace reminds me that I, in fact, DO have patience 😅 Check out the process photos in this slide ➡️

It's made entirely by hand (save for the few cm of chain at the very back), with every tiny detail carefully hand-cut, filed and soldered. Not even those little jump rings came pre-made. I somehow still struggle to comprehend that it was created using only straight wire and a flat sheet of silver. And to be honest, I had no idea what the end result would be when I started.. it just kind of came together as I went 💁🏻‍♀️💫
