🚨 EVENT UPDATE 🚨

Unfortunately, due to a lack of nominations, Mareeba Speedway has made the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday night's race meeting.

This decision is never made lightly. Like many smaller regional clubs, we rely on strong competitor nominations and community support to make race meetings viable. Unfortunately, with many drivers currently committed to the Northern Nationals Series, nomination numbers were simply too low for us to proceed with a full race program.

Rather than closing the gates completely, we will be holding a Practice Night instead.

🏁 Practice Commences: 6:00pm
🏁 Driver Entry: $80
🏁 Spectator Entry: FREE
🏁 Canteen & Bar: OPEN

We'd love to see drivers take advantage of the opportunity to get some laps in, test new setups, and prepare for upcoming events.

To everyone who continues to support Mareeba Speedway, thank you. Regional speedway clubs play an important role in keeping grassroots motorsport alive, and we hope to see stronger nomination numbers at future events so we can continue bringing racing to the Tablelands.

Queensland's smoke alarm legislation is changing, and by 1 January 2027, all owner-occupied homes must meet the updated smoke alarm requirements.

Thunder in the Tablelands 🏎️

Sprintcars qld are happy to announce a 5 round 360/LS series up in North Queensland in incorporating Cairns for a 4 night Cairns Thunder in the Cane fields and Mareeba Thunder in the tablelands starting on the 31st of July
5 nights of racing in 9 days well worth a visit to Cairns
Friday 31st July Cairns Thunder in the Canfields
Saturday 1st august Cairns Thunder in the Canefields
Tuesday 4th August Mareeba Thunder in the Tablelands
Friday 7th August Cairns Thunder in the Canefields
Saturday 8th August Cairns Thunder in the Canefileds
Should be a great 9 days up in Cairns

Unfortunately, due to nomination numbers, there will be no Sprint Cars or Wingless racing at this Saturday’s Season Opener.

BUT — we’ll still have some awesome Sprint Cars up on the hill for everyone to check out, with local drivers including NQ95 Mark Jorgensen and NQ33 John Magro on display throughout the night! 🏁

We’ll still have a great night of racing featuring Juniors, Super Streets, Formula 400s and Formula 500s. 🔥

Come up for a closer look, grab some photos, meet the drivers, and still enjoy a great night of racing, food, drinks, and family fun at the speedway. 🙌

We look forward to welcoming the Sprint Cars back for our next event. 💥

🏁 A NEW STAR HITS THE TRACK THIS WEEKEND 🏁

This Saturday night at Mareeba Speedway, we’ll see Lacey Taylor line up for her very first race meeting in the Junior Division! 👏🔥

Following in the footsteps of big brother Bray Taylor, Lacey will take to the track in the #20 car and become the newest member of the Taylor Racing team to hit the Speedway.

We love seeing the next generation of racers coming through — especially young girls getting behind the wheel and giving it a crack 💥🏁

From watching from the sidelines… to now strapping into her own race car ❤️
