1927 – 2027. A century of camps, cabins, campfires and changed lives.

On 10 April 2027, we're marking 100 years of Baptist camping ministry in Queensland with a Centenary Celebration at QCCC Mapleton.

From a women's craft retreat and a steamboat trip on Moreton Bay in 1927, to the campsites, expeditions and outdoor education programs of today – it's been a century of God at work through this ministry, and through the thousands of Queenslanders who've called these places home for a weekend, a week, or a lifetime of memories.

Our second year interns have enjoyed a few days of exploration around the The Blue Mountain Adventure Centre. A morning of Creation Care to restore riverine settings for the endangered Whio (only 4000 left in the wild), White Water rafting on the Whakapapa River before hitting the slopes of Whakapapa and for many, their first experience of snow.

Our second year interns have had an amazing start to their NZ Service trip, spending a few days with the Manukau Salvation Army community, receiving a very generous welcome and induction into proud Māori culture.
