🎭 Looking for something a little different this Monday night?

Come along to the Impro Cairns End of Term Showcase and watch our Beginner graduates and alumni take to the stage!

Our performers will be creating scenes, games, music and moments completely on the spot, inspired by audience suggestions.

No scripts. No rehearsed lines. Just creativity, laughter and the occasional glorious surprise.

Whether you've been curious about improv for ages or have never seen it before, this is a fun, relaxed evening and a great way to experience what Impro Cairns is all about.

Curious about improvisation? Wondering what actually happens at an Impro Cairns class?

Come along and find out!

Our Beginner graduates, together with some of our alumni, will be creating an evening of completely improvised theatre, music, movement and audience-inspired fun. No scripts. No rehearsed dialogue. Just creativity, teamwork and plenty of laughs.

Whether you've been thinking about giving impro a try, you're a past student keen to reconnect, or you're simply looking for a different kind of night out, we'd love to welcome you.

If you're one of our Impro Cairns alumni, please come along and cheer on our newest graduates. Your support means a great deal, and it's always wonderful seeing familiar faces back in the audience.

🎭 BEGINNER IMPROVISATION STARTS TOMORROW NIGHT!

Have you ever wanted to try improvisation?
Whether you're looking to build confidence, meet new people, think more creatively, or simply laugh a lot, Beginner Improvisation is a welcoming place to start.

Over nine weeks you'll discover the fundamentals of improvisation through fun games and exercises that develop:
�• creativity�• confidence�• communication�• storytelling�• teamwork�• and the ability to think on your feet.

No acting experience is necessary.�You don't have to be naturally funny.�You don't even have to be outgoing.
Just bring a willingness to have a go.
The course finishes with a relaxed showcase performance for family and friends, where you'll have the opportunity to celebrate everything you've learned together.

Looking for something creative, confidence-building and genuinely fun to do this winter?
Impro Cairns is excited to welcome new and returning students to our 9-week Term 3 courses, beginning this July.

FREE Intro/Taster
Monday 6 July
Arrive 5:45 pm for a 6:00 pm start.
Come along, meet the group, experience a class and see what Impro Cairns is all about before deciding whether to enrol.
Registration is required.

Beginner Improvisation
No acting experience is necessary.
You don't need to be funny.
You don't need to be confident.
You just need a willingness to say "yes" to trying something new.

Throughout the term we'll explore:
• Improvisation
• Storytelling
• Playback Theatre
• Mime and physical theatre
• Creative movement
• Music, rhythm and spontaneous song creation
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Communication and listening
• Confidence and creativity

NEW! Repeat your Beginner course for HALF PRICE
Have you completed one Beginner Impro course with Impro Cairns during 2024, 2025 or 2026?
You can now repeat the Beginner course once for 50% of the normal course fee.
Revisiting the foundations is one of the best ways to consolidate your learning, fill in any gaps from missed classes, build confidence and discover new layers in skills you've already begun developing.
This term revisits many of the core foundations from Term 1, while containing considerably different content from last term's Impro Beginners' New Horizons course.

Playback Theatre

Why not continue your journey with our Playback Theatre course?
Playback Theatre is a beautiful form of improvisation where we listen to real stories shared by audience members and transform them into spontaneous theatre using dialogue, movement, mime, music and creative expression.
Every class is different because every story is unique.

Save 10% when you enrol in BOTH courses
Students enrolling in both Beginner Improvisation and Playback Theatre for Term 3 will receive a 10% discount on the Playback Theatre course fee.

Bring Your Friends for FREE!
Students enrolled in either course are invited to bring friends along free of charge during:
• Monday 13 July (Week 1)
• Monday 20 July (Week 2)
Beginner guests are welcome whether they're complete beginners or already have some improv experience.
Guests attending Playback Theatre should already have previous improvisation experience.
Registration is required for all guests.
