OOF These duo teacups are coming out SO COOL!!
All praise goes to Cafe Color H Underglazes. I’ve been using them a lot lately and every time I pull things from my kiln - I’m swooning!!

This wee wormy apple was painted using a number of reds, maroons and some greens to create the apple skin just the way envisioned!

CafeColourH works like any other underglaze, but the colours preform a bit more like Gouache paint VS Watercolour paint. It’s a bit more opaque and layers so beautifully!

Anyways!! I’m working on a few different weird designs for a Duo Teacup blind box release! This Apple kid will be included in the mix :D

Are any of my fellow artists feeling the pressure of making reels/content that tell stories and capture attention? Memba when we used to just post WIP pics to share what we’re working on?? I wana come back to THAT! Low stakes. Low energy. Just showing ya what I’m working on as a process journal.

Most people scroll past anyways (I know I do!) so I find myself paralysed - do I spent an entire day making a video that I’m hella proud of? Or do I just quickly capture a moment in my process to share?

Don’t get me wrong, I DO love making longer videos showing my process or showing off new work. I love a good quality Instagram reel as much as the next guy! But Jeeze Louise! The pressure to make them perfect and fun …

I know we’re all feeling the same, how could we NOT be!? So here’s me, doing the least to show you what I’m working on ❤️

- all keep cups have been wheel thrown using a beautiful textured, natural Australian clay.
- each keep cup is slightly different but all a similar volume (about 350ml)
- your cup comes with a colourful silicone straw.
- no two designs are the same, the cup you receive is a surprise, revealed when your package arrives - not even I know which one you will get!

The world feels like it’s gotten even crazier since my last shop restock :( international shipping is freaking me out and I can’t afford to replace items if they get lost on their journey to you. I haven’t had a shop update since NOVEMBER 2024 - thats freekin nuts! I took last year away from selling ceramics because my heart was telling me I really needed to change things up a bit.

I was struggling to feel inspired and found myself LONGING for something different as I was feeling like an assembly line. Back then, I was making around 20 mugs per month that were painted almost identically. My eyes hurt and I was getting bored!

THANK GAWD for my amazing family who gave me the freedom to play in clay for the first time in YEARS! I fell inlove with the ceramic process all over again and spent the year exploring :D

The time has come to return and I couldn’t be more excited!

Stay tuned for my FIRST shop release happening THIS MONTH (the end of January...) and if you’re not subscribed to my newsletter, you should do that :D
