🥂 GATSBYS UPDATE 🥂

Firstly, a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to our community. ❤️

The support, messages, phone calls and encouragement Joy and I have received following the outcome of our lease extension have meant more to us than we can put into words. It has reminded us just how much GATSBYS has become a part of the South West community — and how many people genuinely want to see it continue.

Whilst the outcome of our lease extension isn’t the result Joy and I had hoped for, particularly around the kitchen commitments, we have made the decision to keep GATSBYS open for as long as we possibly can while we work towards finding a buyer.

We simply don’t know how long it will remain financially viable to operate without a kitchen. So, if you’ve been meaning to experience WA’s best intimate live entertainment venue, now is the time! 🎶✨

And importantly, to all of the incredible artists who have supported GATSBYS — every existing artist contract will be honoured going forward. The shows we have committed to will continue, and we will continue to give our artists the professional, supportive venue they deserve. ❤️🎤

After building GATSBYS from the ground up, Joy and I are now moving into our retirement phase. That means investing more of our own money into completing the kitchen simply isn’t an option for us.

But we genuinely believe GATSBYS has a future.

So for now, the doors are open, the shows are going ahead, and we’re going to keep bringing you the best live entertainment we can for as long as possible.
