A huge thank you to Lotterywest Lotterywest, a Platinum Supporter of Plein Air Down Under Plein Air Down Under, helping us to deliver free, inclusive community engagement activities again in 2026.

Lotterywest returns profits to the WA community through grants supporting the arts, culture, health and wellbeing of Western Australians. Their support helps broaden access and participation, with free activities and entertainment on offer throughout the festival for the whole community to enjoy, not just registered artists.

This funding helps power our festival hub at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, along with the art facilitators, materials and entertainment behind our free community activities.

We are so grateful to Lotterywest for helping keep Plein Air Down Under (PADU) an inclusive, professionally delivered event that strengthens the Peel Region's cultural identity.

For one incredible week, artists from across Australia and beyond come together in Mandurah and the Peel Region to paint outdoors, learn from some of the best, compete, exhibit, sell and simply enjoy being part of an amazing creative community.

And you don’t have to be an artist to join in.

Come and watch artists painting in the landscape, try a free Have-a-Go activity, visit the exhibitions, meet the artists or simply explore Mandurah and Pinjarra through an artist’s eyes.

We love having Ray White Mandurah as part of Plein Air Down Under. They bring energy, enthusiasm and the entire team!

Saturday Day One of the festival weekend is presented by Ray White Mandurah and they are all there; making sure you have your complimentary morning coffee, running children's free activities, stamping your painting surfaces, checking in your artwork, providing a complimentary dinner and generally sprinkling sunshine.

AND they sponsor the festival's top award, the $3,000 Ray White Mandurah Acquisitional Award, for a painting of Mandurah, painted on their day, Saturday 26 September. Get those brushes out!
