Wearable Art Mandurah invites local, national and international artists to create extravagant, revolutionary, provocative works of art on the body. The City of Mandurah launched the Common Threads Wearable Art competition in 2011 as part of t

he annual Stretch Arts Festival. It has since grown into an international wearable art event with five major components: design competition, skill development, entertainment showcase, designer corner retail opportunity and exhibitions. Wearable Art Mandurah is inclusive to all skill levels and encourages the use of all art forms. The event engages community, nurtures talent, fosters innovation and promotes artistic excellence culminating in a contemporary showcase and exhibition. Groups, designers and creative types of any medium are encouraged to enter.
