Wondoflex Yarn Craft Centre For all your knitting, crocheting, spinning or weaving needs. Wondoflex...funny name for a wool shop, but that is because of it's history.

Wondoflex was an elasticised yarn, produced in Gardenvale way back in the 1930s. The yarn has long gone...but the shop named in its honor has been going strong since that time. Whilst we have a website, we see our face book page as way of giving you timely information on events, specials, new products and of course a chance to share our talented customers works with the world.

What a labour of love for a little one. Katharine we think you have done an amazing job and judging by the admiration it generated from customers in our shop this morning, we are obviously good judges!
Katherine crocheted this blanket using Patons Cotton Blend 8ply and a pattern by Katy Mitchell - "All Creatures Great and Small" .
We are sure this delightful blanket is going to be treasured by the recipient for many many years and thank you allowing us to share your work with our readers.

Deirdre dropped in to buy one ball of cotton, but got sidetracked by the lovely sample scarf we have...knitted in Katia's Concept "50 Mohair Shades".
After much debate she chose soft natural shades with a splash of soft pink.

If you would like to knit this scarf, it requires 1 roll of each of 5 different shades of 50 Mohair shades and is knitted in garter stitch on size 4.50mm needles.

You will find the yarn on our website - just type 50 shades into the search box and request your free pattern when you check out.

We love it when customers who have been regulars for many years (and therefore accumulated a lot of left overs!) can go through their stash and put together a mismatch of colours, textures and techniques to produce a one of a kind garment.

Eng is very new to knitting but has finished this lovely heart blanket in Marble 8ply by Fiddlesticks.

Well done Eng, great first effort and we look forward to seeing your next blanket.

Terrific project for inexperienced knitters who want to extend their knit and purl skills by following a simple pattern and creating a lovely baby blanket in the process.

Eng used just under 5 balls of Fiddlesticks' Marble.
