On Thursday and Sunday afternoons, Duldig studio holds Open Studio Sessions.

Led by our wonderful volunteer guides, these visits offer a chance to explore the former home and studio of Karl and Slawa Duldig, with plenty of time for questions, conversation and discovery.

Every guide brings their own perspective and passion, so no two visits are quite the same. You might uncover a new detail about a sculpture, hear a family story, or discover something unexpected about the Duldigs’ lives, work and legacy.

Karl Duldig’s 'The Dream,' 1960, appears to be waking, stretching towards the spring sunshine slowly after a long winter.
Standing among the trees in the Duldig Studio Sculpture Garden, its raised arms seem to welcome the hints of warmth and light of a new season.

Behind the Scenes: Cataloguing Karl Duldig's Ceramics ☕
Volunteer Jess-Bree is currently working through a collection of Karl Duldig's early glazed, modernist-style ceramic mugs, formerly stored in the kitchen. Jess-Bree brings a background in exhibition coordination and collections handling to the task of carefully arranging and documenting these lesser-seen, but nonetheless charming, colourful glazed mugs.
