We are so incredibly proud of one of our own! 🥉🥈

Maleny Showgirl and Trailblazers member Kael Thompson has been making waves at the 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships — claiming a bronze medal in the women’s 100m butterfly in her first senior international meet, and following it up with a silver in the S14 mixed 4x100m freestyle relay as part of the Australian Dolphins team.

Kael, you have represented yourself, your family, and this community with so much grace and grit. We couldn’t be prouder. 🌟

The Maleny Arts and Craft Group has been part of this region for half a century — and the 2026 Quilt Show is their biggest celebration yet. This year's Challenge Quilts mark 50 years of MACG, and we can't wait to see what the group's talented makers have created.

Est. 1922. Still going strong. 💪

For over 100 years, the Maleny Show Society has been part of the fabric of this community. Started in 1922, the Society exists for one reason: to bring people together — farmers, families, makers, performers, businesses, and everyone in between.

We're a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation, and every dollar that comes through our gates goes straight back into maintaining and improving the showground and the events that bring this community to life. Those new LED lights in the horse arena? That's your support at work.

We couldn't do any of it without the working partners, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who show up year after year. You know who you are — and we're grateful for every single one of you.

Over 100 years of good times and great traditions. Here's to 100 more. 🤠

Meet the people taking the stage at Maleny's first-ever Music Muster. 🎸

Allan Caswell — Multi Golden Guitar Winner, Roll of Renown inductee, and Australia's most recorded songwriter with over 1,000 songs released worldwide by artists including Slim Dusty, The Wolfe Brothers, Steve Earle, and Cold Chisel.

Col Finley — affectionately known as "The Original Outlaw," inducted into the Country Music Hands of Fame, and the founder bringing this whole vision to life.

Matt Scullion — 30+ years, 26+ #1 country hits, recorded by Lee Kernaghan, Adam Harvey, Travis Collins and rock legends Cold Chisel. A storyteller who connects rural and city audiences like few others.

And that's just the headliners. 🙌

The Maleny Arts and Crafts Quilt Show 2026 is coming to the Main Pavilion at the Maleny Showground on 12 & 13 September — and it's going to be a beauty.

Celebrating 50 years of the Maleny Arts and Craft Group, this biennial show features approx 100 quilts on display — large and small, traditional and modern — all made by MACG members. Plus:
🛍 Traders Alley — fabric, notions, patterns & all things quilting
🧵 MACG Sales Table — handmade goods
🎁 Bag Pod
🏆 Raffle with amazing prizes including a member-made quilt, a sewing machine from Kimz Sewing & Bernina, and a fabric pack

📣 Maleny Farm Fest 2026 is shaping up to be something special — and we want YOU involved.
We're calling on businesses, schools, community groups, producers, and individuals to get on board as an exhibitor, demonstrator, sponsor, or presenter at this year's event.
Farm Fest is a free, community-wide event drawing crowds from across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland — and it's a genuine opportunity to put your business, group, or passion project in front of the people who matter most to you.
