Happily, after two months, for Cate Day and myself, that's a Wrap! I collected the remaining paintings from Roma on Bungil Gallery on Monday! To my surprise, these beauties have also remained in Roma with their new collectors! I am so grateful for the interest in my work out in South West Queensland, a place where my heart has always felt at home!
You can't take the bush out of the girl! I will have to get cracking onto the brushes again!!

Hi friends!
I have just listed this large oil painting with my online galleries!
Here is its story!

Abundance
A tributary slowly glides, unhurried and quiet. A white Egret stands like a sentinel beneath a sky of unbroken blue. Its reflection trembles in the water, mingling with the gold of yellow foliage, with silver on the surface in shards of autumn light.
Stones lie just beneath the current, their shapes softened by the water’s lens- a mosaic only the creek knows how to arrange. They cradle leaf litter, damp and fragrant, carrying the scent of earthy petrichor.
Nothing here hurries. Nothing here demands. The world narrows to ripples, to the hush of water slipping past, to the soft pulse of a landscape content to simply be- a reminder that stillness is its own kind of abundance.

Hello friends,
This will be my last share for the Roma on Bungil Gallery exhibition with Cate Day. With one week left, it has been such a great experience and thank you for such positive feedback from you all re the collection. It is heartwarming to know that some of my pieces have found homes across SW/SE Qld and NSW! Feeling grateful.

Here is the last poem to go with Cockatoo Rabble!

Bird photographic references: Kerry Schemioneck, Benjamin Nelson
(Sulphur Crested Cockatoos)

Watercolour on Arches 300 gsm paper, with timber frame under glass
72 x 80 cm

Cockatoo Rabble!
Raucous flocks of white and yellow descend to forage,
the sentry perched high, awaiting danger.
They feast on nature’s buffet — seeds, nuts, berries, roots, and insects —
crunching branches to keep strong beaks trimmed.
They screech and whistle, playful and curious,
social, intelligent, gloriously noisy.
For forty years they watch the world beside a lifelong mate,
returning to the same high tree hollows to tend their young.
Their wild chorus carrying across the sky.
