Club Acoustic is back for 2024!
First Thursdays Maleny RSL,
Doors open at 6 pm, $10Food, Bar, Music, Poetry, Social Capital and You!
March 7th/*May 4th/July 4th/Sept 5th/Nov 7th
With Muzika winding up, Jacinta Foale (and Regalia!) are rekindling CLUB ACOUSTIC.
We are pleased that Michael Whiticker will still be doing sound.
Club Acoustic will be every 2 months rather than every month, so you could book ahead in your diary for the first Thursday in the months of March 7th/*May 4th/July 4th/Sept 5th/Nov 7th
*One exception will be in the month of May, when Rob Kann and Jacinta, with catering support from Welcome to Maleny’s Refugee Support and Advocacy group, will be putting on a Special concert on Saturday May 4th instead of the first Thursday, to help raise funds for Hazara Women for Change. More details on that May Concert coming later.
Door will open at 6pm, food will be available, the bar will be open, and you’ll get a gorgeous array of musicians, poets and community leaders presenting their music, words, and activities of care in the community to inspire us and support social connection in this lovely town of ours.
As it used to be with Club Acoustic, the performer line up will be a surprise!! Sometimes that’s to do with the fact that the “curating process” of these beautiful evenings can sometimes still be evolving close to the event, but it’s more about generating a culture of support for artists and the builders of social capital in our community whose generosity relies on your presence no matter who’s playing. That said, the lineup for March 7th is complete and ready!
The cost is still $10, but for those who can and are willing to give a little more than that, there’ll be a donations basket available. No pressure, just if it’s easy for you to do that.
