๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿชฉ BACK TO THE 80s! ๐Ÿ•บโœจ

Our 2026 Junior Rural Ambassador, Beau Baker, and 2025 Malanda Show Princess, Emily Paulger, joined in the fun at the Maize Festival Street Parade last night!

Getting into the Back to the 80s spirit, Beau and Emily joined Jazmyn Peaseโ€™s 2025 Maize Queen float for the parade โ€” can you spot them? ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒฝ

Itโ€™s always wonderful to see our Malanda Show Ambassadors out and about in the community, supporting other local events and proudly representing the Malanda Show. ๐Ÿ’š

A huge congratulations to the Tablelands Maize Festival Committee on another fantastic festival and street parade. Events like these take an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, and it was great to see the community come together and get involved.

Congratulations to everyone involved! ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŽ‰

โœจ Congratulations Bridie Blinco! โœจ

Look at that shining face! ๐Ÿค

The Malanda Show Committee could not be prouder of our very own Bridie, who recently represented the North Queensland Sub Chamber and Malanda Show at the Queensland Country Life Showgirl State Finals 2026, held in conjunction with the incredible 150th Ekka.

What an experience it has been!

From personal development sessions and public speaking, to Government House, Parliament House, meeting people from across Queensland and experiencing all that the Ekka has to offer, Bridie embraced every moment of this incredible opportunity.

And while we are so proud of everything she achieved throughout the week, just look at those photosโ€ฆ this is where Bridie truly shines! โœจ

Bright and confident on stage, but perhaps most comfortable with an animal in her arms or standing proudly beside a beef animal. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿค

There is no doubt that the show ring is where Bridie's heart lies. Her love for agriculture, livestock and our country show community shines through in everything she does.

Bridie, what an achievement and what a journey! We hope you are incredibly proud of yourself โ€” we certainly are. ๐Ÿ’š

Keep shining, keep championing agriculture, and most importantly, keep doing what you love in that show ring. ๐Ÿฎ๐ŸŒฟ

There is something magical about agricultural shows. ๐Ÿ„โœจ

We know Malanda is the best, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰, but there is something extra special about a Royal Show โ€” and this year, the Ekka celebrated an incredible 150 years!

Thatโ€™s 150 years of tradition, celebrating agriculture and rural life in the heart of the big city โ€” where the city meets the country.

Our local exhibitors and representatives had an incredible amount of success at this yearโ€™s royal show, and weโ€™ve loved sharing so many of their stories already - more to follow.

But this one is particularly special too.

Our President, Greg English, and his family from Eachamvale - The English Family made the decision to take their dairy cattle on a road trip across the state to exhibit at the Ekka.

Simply making the journey and competing at this level is an achievement in itself, but they returned home with an impressive collection of ribbons and recognition for their outstanding cattle.

The team consisted of 9 cattle and 5 people, all heading to Brisbane ready to give it their very best. Judging took place on Friday, 14 August, and they couldnโ€™t have been happier with the results. All their results can be found on their page.

What an achievement โ€” and a wonderful reward for the dedication, hard work and passion that goes into breeding, preparing and exhibiting quality dairy cattle.

From the paddock, across the state and into the Ekka ring โ€” what a road trip!

Congratulations Greg and Bronwyn, your family and everyone who helped make this success possible. We are so proud to see our local dairy community represented so strongly on the big stage!

Well done! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰

The Malanda Show Society congratulates Frances English on her selection to represent Queensland in the Dairy Cattle Young Judges Competition at the 2026 Agricultural Shows Australia National Championships.

Frances has been involved with the Malanda Show from a young age and has grown up with a strong connection to the dairy industry and our local show community. Her dedication to learning, competing and continually developing her judging skills has led to this fantastic achievement.

We are proud to see another Malanda competitor representing our Show Society and Queensland on the national stage and wish Frances all the very best for the competition.

Congratulations, Frances, and good luck at the National Championships! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ„

๐Ÿ„ Congratulations, Frances English! โœจ

Queensland Ag Shows is proud to congratulate Frances English on earning the opportunity to represent Queensland in the ๐——๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—–๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ด ๐—๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜€ competition at the 2026 Agricultural Shows Australia National Championships.

Frances has agriculture in her blood. Her family has been exhibiting dairy cattle at the Malanda Show since 1916, and she proudly became part of that tradition at just 12 years old. Now completing Year 12 alongside a Certificate III in Business Administration, Frances continues to build her knowledge and passion for the dairy industry.

After winning the Queensland Dairy Cattle Young Judges State Final, Frances is ready to take her skills to the national stage.

"Competitions like the Young Judges and Paraders are important because they involve young people in shows and create a pathway for kids to gain more knowledge and understanding of why people show dairy cattle," Frances said.

Frances' selection reflects generations of dedication, a passion for agriculture and a commitment to keeping Queensland's agricultural show traditions thriving.

๐Ÿ“… Cheer Frances on as she proudly represents Queensland on ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜†, ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ด๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ.

We wish Frances every success as she steps into the judging ring and proudly represents Queensland on the national stage.
