🚴‍♂️Bike Bus Participation in the Malanda Show Street Parade 🚴‍♀️

Friday 26th June - 7pm

As part of the Malanda Show Street Parade we encourage adults and children to join the Bike Bus. The bike bus will congregate from 6.30pm at the Jack May Park Pump Track before joining the procession at 7pm to weave thru the streets before entering the Showgrounds. What a great memory for our children to cherish!

🚴🛣️Remember our theme is FAMOUS ROADS

Our judges will be selecting the best decorated bike to win $50, and there is an opportunity for an individual to win the best costume too!

We are so excited to welcome the Cheerleading Squad back to our Friday night program!

These young ladies work so hard all year to bring a high-energy performance to the Show after the Street Parade! A big shoutout to coach Amy and the team for continuing to encourage this group.

What a huge weekend!!!
My bestie and I have been busy behind the scenes of the Ball transforming the Malanda Dairy Centre into the starscape of our imagination. I'm pleased to announce that the vision really is starting to take shape and I can't wait until Saturday night to enjoy it with you all.

For those around Malanda there are still a few tickets left if you haven't already got yours. It is always such an amazing night and we look forward to showing off the new venue for this year's Ball. Tickets available through the Try Booking link on the Malanda Show Ball event page.

In the meantime there is still lots to do, so if you see Lauren or myself in the street please hand us chocolate and tell us we look pretty because chances are we look like we haven't slept in days and honestly that may be the case. But we wouldn't have it any other way. 💖✨️

We’re seeking donations for entrant and winner gift packs. Whether it’s a gift voucher, product, merchandise, experience, or service, every contribution helps us recognise and encourage the next generation of young leaders in our community.

The 2026 Malanda Show Rural & Junior Rural Ambassador Program is officially underway, and we are currently seeking donations towards entrant and winner gift packs.

This year’s program includes 2 male entrants and 2 female entrants who will participate in leadership development, agricultural enterprise tours, public speaking, volunteering, and community engagement activities throughout the lead-up to the Malanda Show.

We would love to support and acknowledge our entrants for their commitment and involvement through thoughtfully prepared gift packs, and we are calling on our wonderful local businesses and community organisations for support.

Donations can include:

🌾 Celebrating the future of our community 🌾

On Saturday evening, the Malanda Show Society was proud to host the 2026 Malanda Show Elders Insurance Rural & Junior Rural Ambassador Speeches Evening.

Congratulations to our four participants, who each delivered thoughtful and inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of agriculture, volunteering and community. Their confidence, enthusiasm and willingness to represent the values of the Malanda Show are a credit to themselves, their families and our district.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the evening, and to our major sponsor, Elders Insurance Tablelands for their continued support of the program.

A special thank you to our Event MCs, Georgia Doull and Jacinta Pedersen, the outgoing 2024/2025 Malanda Show Rural Ambassador and Junior Rural Ambassador for guiding the evening.

We also extend our sincere thanks to judges Rachel English and Paul Newland for generously volunteering their time and expertise throughout the program.

It was wonderful to have Sarah Entsch, the 2026 Cairns Show Rural Ambassador, Rachel English, the 2026 Cairns Show Showgirl, and Emily Paulger, the 2025 Malanda Show Princess, in attendance to support our participants and celebrate the next generation of agricultural show ambassadors.

Judging concludes today, with each participant attending their one-on-one interview with the judges. Combined with the speeches and all aspects of the program, these interviews will determine the recipients of the 2026 Malanda Show Rural Ambassador and Junior Rural Ambassador titles.

We wish all four participants the very best and thank them for embracing the opportunities and challenges of the program with such enthusiasm.

The winners will be announced at the Official Opening Ceremony, following the Street Parade, on Friday 26 June 2026.
