Drop-in to Artspace to try your hand at Story Drawing - a fun creative activity inspired by Brian Robinson’s exhibition ‘Kulba A Kaib’.

Remember the saying ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’? Well this is a fun opportunity to make a drawing that tells a story. It might be a personal memory, experience, or a fictional story straight out of your imagination. You might even be like Brian and combine many stories, varied worlds and multiple characters into one wonderful story image...“My creations are seemingly incongruous concoctions where many motifs and characters are co-opted into the spirit world of the Islander imagination, which are then intertwined with historical narrative, personal history and humour.” Brian Robinson

Over four days, Mulga The Artist brought his artist talk and ‘How to Draw a Mulga Character’ Workshop to four schools across the Northern Beaches.

Students of all ages got involved, letting their imaginations run wild as they created their very own unique animal characters. 🐨🎨

Next, each school will vote for their top two designs, with the winning artworks transformed into large-scale public art in the Northern Beaches! 🎨✨
