Gooooddddd Morning MDF Competitors 😎

Today seems like a good day to get your music organised and start uploading it Music Uploads for this year's Festival. The cutoff for music is Monday 29th June.

Please note: there has been a bit of a typo 🤦‍♀️
Music uploads will tell you we are running from Friday to Monday. This is incorrect. We are definitely running Thursday to Sunday so ignore the day and think of it as Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4. We figured you are all pretty smart cookies 🍪 and will work it out. 💚

MDF 2026 UPDATE Part 93!!!! 😎

All entries that have received a confirmation email from Comps-On-line have been processed and are in the system. You DO NOT need to re-enter on Sunday!!!! 🫶

There were 15 entries that sat in our system as incomplete, these have been individually contacted with what to do next to complete the process. 😵‍💫

🌟Entries will open again this Sunday @ 10:00am until sold out.

✅Just a reminder that entries are limited to 6 (not including the Improvisation) and so far everyone has abided by this rule. BRAVO to you all.... 👏

As we have technically lost a week our Super Programmer will work her magic and have a running order out asap. 📌📌

It’s really really BROKEN!!
(Worked perfectly yesterday for the Yr12s).

The IT peeps need more time to work on it so it has been deactivated.
It will NOT open this weekend…

So they can sort the issues and be ready, I am aiming for next weekend.

Don’t have this problem with paper entries - just saying’…. 😳😳

Comps online a pretty sure that they have sorted to issue! 😵‍💫
After moving the competition to a different state and conducting a test run it seems to be working! 👀
We are re-opening at 5:00pm today but I will post at 4:30pm to let you all know if this is still on track to happen!!

Hello everyone,

We apologise for this morning’s issues with entries opening. This is not an MDF issue and everything is working correctly on our end. The problem is currently with the Comps Online website.

The Comps Online team has their IT department working on the issue now. Entries will not randomly reopen, so please don’t worry about missing out while the issue is being resolved.

We will keep everyone updated with a new entry opening time as soon as we have more information.

MDF26 Entries Open THIS SUNDAY! 💚

⏰ 2026 Grade 12 Skip The Queue (Saturday | May 23 | 10am-12pm) *This does not include siblings.

🚨 2026 Change: So we can share the magic of MDF with even more competitors, 2026 Entries will now be capped at 6 solos per competitor.
Of course, you can still enter ‘Everybody Impro’ as well, as this is not counted as part of your 6 solos!
If more than 6 solos are entered, your 6 solos will be randomly selected by our software and extra solos withdrawn with no refund offered.

🚨 2026 Addition: Our 13&14yrs competitors can now enter a Cabaret Solo in our 13&14yrs Cabaret Solo section!

So you can be super organised, here are a few tips to make the process smoother...

👉 Be sure you have set up an account with Comps-Online including your competitor's details BEFORE 10am... www.comps-online.com.au

👉 MDF has historically sold out very quickly (within the hour). To have to best chance, be ready to go at 10am.

👉 Please DO NOT contact Comps Online regarding your entries. George and his team cannot get your entries through. Please direct all questions to the MDF Team.

🎉 Mackay Dance Festival is BACK for 2026 and we couldn't be more excited! 🎉

We've been busy planning and preparing and can’t wait to see our competitors up on stage! Keep reading for important info regarding entering MDF in 2026….

💚 2026 EVENT DATES: Thursday 2nd - Sunday 5th of July | Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music

💚 ENTRIES OPEN: 10am Sunday May 24th. Closed when capacity reached.

💚 HOW TO ENTER: Entries for this competition are accepted through Comps Online. Please ensure you have created an account and checked your password before entries open. https://www.comps-online.com.au
A list of sections available to enter in 2026 will be posted soon. Please have a realistic list of your performer’s solos before entering. This is to avoid unnecessary withdrawals and keep our running order tight. It is best to check with your studio/teachers before entering MDF.

💚 2026 GRADUATING SENIORS: If your performer is graduating in 2026, your entries will open 10am Saturday May 23rd and close at 12pm.

💚 SECTION & AWARD SPONSORSHIP: An email will be sent out shortly after entry confirmation regarding Section & Award Sponsorship.
