We are saddened to announce that Mackay Music is closing.
After 26 years for me personally and 37 years for the store, it has been a very difficult decision, but as they say, all good things must come to an end. We would like to thank all our loyal customers for their support over the past 26 years.
This is a genuine closing down sale and everything must go! Come in and grab a bargain before it’s all gone! Not just instruments and sheet music, but we are selling our display cabinets, music artwork, racking shelves and unique décor for your band room or man cave.

69 years of marriage, what an amazing milestone! Yesterday we celebrated Mum and Dad with family, feeling so blessed to still have them in our lives. Greg, Pete, Mair, Don and I are so grateful and love them dearly.
Family is everything ❤️

This is a very special and emotional Christmas video for my studio.
Rory has been my student for the past 12 years, and this performance marks his final one with me.

Rory is truly one of a kind — kind, caring, intelligent, incredibly talented, and an all-round beautiful human being. He has been a role model to so many younger students, and his influence in the studio will be felt for a long time to come.

He will be deeply missed by my students, and by me more than I can put into words. Students like Rory don’t come along very often.

I wish him nothing but the very best as he heads off to Brisbane for university and begins this exciting next chapter. I am so proud of you, Rory, and forever grateful to have been part of your journey.
