🎶 Calling all young musicians and singers!
Does your child love to sing, play guitar or drums? Here’s their chance to make some music, have some fun and perform live at Moon Over Machans!
Kids are invited to come together over three Saturday morning rehearsals, where they’ll learn two easy songs before performing them live at Moon Over Machans on Saturday 12 September.
They’ll have some fantastic local musicians helping them along the way:
🎵 Andy Collins – Musical Director, retired musician, former Queensland Blues Man of the Year and member of many local bands over the past 50 years
🎸 Trevor Ganes – Guitar Leader, Machans Beach local and one half of local duo Wind and Wood
🎤 Morag Ganes – Choir Leader and the other half of Wind and Wood
🥁 Dan Vowels – Drums Teacher, who has played drums and keyboards with many North Queensland bands
The idea is simple: learn, have fun and experience the joy of making music together. No need to be an expert, and everybody can sing!
While we’d especially love to see plenty of local kids get involved, adults who would like to sing, play guitar or drums are very welcome to join in too.
First rehearsal:

⏰ 9:00am–11:00am
📍 Machans Sports Club, end of School Street, Machans Beach
There will be three two-hour rehearsals in total, held on Saturday mornings, leading up to the big performance.
