Since 2011, Seriously Dance has grown into dance school that prides itself on it's love of dance. So, who are we? It should be fun & exciting. Simple right?

Seriously Dance started in MacGregor, Brisbane in 2011. Our team has years of experience in all facets of dance including Jazz, Classical Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballroom, Acrobatics and Tap. Now, it’s easy to tell you what we have achieved, where we have been & why we dance, but the important part is why we created Seriously Dance. The Beginning:

Seriously Dance endeavours to provide all students with the chance to share the art of dance. We believe that each student is to be appreciated & respected for their individual talent & personality. We promote the co-existence of the principles of excellence & obtaining personal best. However, it is the latter of these standards which is paramount & is the foundation of the Seriously Dance philosophy.

✨ Thank You… and Goodbye from Seriously Dance ✨

After 14 beautiful years of dance, laughter & friendship, the time has come for us to say goodbye.

Seriously Dance has closed its doors for the final time. It’s not easy to let go of something that has been such a big part of so many lives… but we are choosing to farewell this chapter with full hearts and deep gratitude.

To every dancer who poured their energy, joy, and spirit into our space…

To every parent who believed in us and allowed us to play a role in your child’s journey…

To every teacher, friend, and supporter who gave so much along the way…

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

You’ve helped create something truly special. A community. A place where friendships bloomed and dreams took shape.

Though the studio may be closing, the love, memories and magic will stay with us all forever.

This isn’t just goodbye but also thank you. Thank you for dancing with us. Thank you for being part of our family.

📣 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SERIOUSLY DANCE FAMILIES 📣

Due to the ongoing weather situation and the anticipated impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Seriously Dance will be closed tomorrow, Thursday 6th March, and Friday 7th March. The safety of our students, families, and staff is our top priority, and we believe this is the best decision as the cyclone moves closer.

For today, Wednesday 5th March:
✅ Under 9 classes will go ahead until 5:15pm - offering a sense of routine in uncertain times while allowing families to return home safely before the weather worsens and potential heavy traffic builds.
❌ All Performance Team classes are cancelled this afternoon - keeping in mind the safety of students and teachers travelling in worsening conditions this evening.

Created by Australian Teachers Of Dancing for our Prep and Grade 1 dancers, it’s a time to move, groove, and shine.

It’s the joy of mastering a new step, the excitement of dancing to a beat that makes you smile, and the quiet confidence that grows with every kick, turn, and jump.

Our teachers bring more than just steps - they bring encouragement, patience, and a whole lot of fun, helping each dancer feel proud of their progress, no matter how big or small.

It’s a space where creativity flows, friendships form, and every child’s unique sparkle is celebrated.

Saturdays are for dancing, laughing, and learning - and that’s the magic of jazz. 💛

🌟 A big week for our tiniest stars! 🌟

This week, some of our Prep students not only started their first year of school but also returned to their favorite dance classes! 💕 Watching them twirl into the studio with their shiny new school shoes and big smiles has been so special.

Dance is such a beautiful way for these little ones to unwind after a big day of learning. It’s where they build confidence, make new friends, and feel supported in a nurturing environment that feels just like family. 💫

We know that starting Prep is a big transition, and we’re here to help make it as smooth as possible! For Term 1 and Term 2, we have an exclusive offer just for Prep students. If they’re too tired or unable to attend their regular class, we’ll credit your account rather than offering a makeup class. This is our way of supporting them (and you!) through this exciting new chapter.

We can’t wait to see the rest of our Prep students join us on Saturday morning for their very first classes of the year! It’s going to be a magical start to an exciting 2025.

🌟 Meet the always amazing Miss Olivia! 🌟

Olivia has been a beloved part of the Seriously Dance family for 13 years, beginning as a young student and growing into an inspiring teacher since 2024. She was also a dedicated member of the Seriously Dance Performance Team for 10 years, where she developed her passion for performing and teamwork.

Her love for dance has taken her to incredible heights, including 4 years performing in Creative Generation: State Schools Onstage, showcasing her talent on some of the biggest stages. Olivia has also achieved outstanding milestones, completing her examinations in RAD Ballet, ATOD Jazz and Tap, and Acrobatic Arts.

Now, as a teacher, Olivia shares her wealth of experience and contagious enthusiasm with her students. She’s passionate about helping them build confidence, perfect their technique, and discover their love for dance. Olivia truly embodies the nurturing, inclusive, and uplifting spirit of Seriously Dance.

Miss Olivia will be taking our Recreational Jazz,l & Acrobatics students in 2025. 🤩
