Art comes alive on the 2nd Sunday in August for Arts on Terrace. Talk to local artists as they share their knowledge and demonstrate their skills, working on individual pieces throughout East Terrace. Participate in a variety of creative workshops in unusual locations within local businesses as Loxton’s vibrant shopping precinct will be open for a special Sunday trade. Discover and try alternate art forms, unlocking your own talent and there is a children's activity to intrigue and encourage their own art journey. The main attraction of Arts on Terrace would have to be the Junk Art Sculpture Competition exhibited in the Riverland Motor Group showroom. Marvel at the amazing sculptures created by novices, emerging and professional artists who create incredible pieces using recycled, reused, reclaimed, discarded or salvaged materials. Prize money totals $3000 over 6 categories and you can cast a vote for your own favourite piece in the People’s Choice Award. Whether you are an art lover, creative type or bargain hunter, Loxton has it all for you.
