Sold on the weekend from the Loxton Parish Hall Gallery! One of a series of four acrylic paintings of colourful Aussie birds on 30cm round canvas covered boards. It won first prize in the Loxton Show Pastel Section!

Here is the Aussie Bird panel as it appears in the window of Studio Gracie, with the lighter background. Going to the home of a bird lover. If you love birds check out the other 11 of my bird artworks in the window and some sparrows and bright parrots inside the salon. All birds - hence the "Feathered Friends" title of my SALA exhibition in there. Check out the side window of Foodland for three of my floral pieces done in acrylics, as part of the Loxton Art Group's display. Head down the street to the Parish Hall Gallery to see some of my animals and people all done in pastels. Plus, lots of artworks by another 7 talented local artists. There's art in almost every shop in Loxton's main street during August, come for the day and enjoy some of our many eateries, so many to choose from!

Another of my larger pieces SOLD from the window of Studio Gracie here in Loxton. My exhibition "Feathered Friends" is part of SALA, and of the month-long Arts on Terrace Festival in Loxton.
This and the other 16 pieces I have on display will still be able to be viewed until the end of August. 12 pieces in the window and another 5 can be seen once in the salon.
This panel is 75cm square and has 25 x 4" square canvas coated boards mounted on it, each featuring an Aussie bird painted in acrylics.
This photo was taken before I painted the background in an off-white colour which I feel sets the panels off better than the brown.

Drawn today at Loxton's Arts on Terrace Day. This was done with navy pastel pencil and will be framed up in an 8"x8" black frame.
Cozy out of the wind in a lovely big marquee that the Council provided. The rain held off, but the forecast for it would have put many people off from coming along. Turned out to be a mild, cool and breezy day. Those who came along seemed to enjoy being part of the action.
