If you are travelling down River Road past Dargle this weekend please take care because the True Grit event is on and there will be a line of cars on River Road waiting to turn right into Dargle from the Sackville end, be patient and be careful. Then they all leave again same day so watch out both ways please on Coach House Hill especially with the condition of the roads!!

Most of these people are unfamiliar with our roads and how narrow they are so keep your wits about you and your eyes wide open.
They are coming and going all day until dusk!!

Hi all, great news here...

The weather has held out nicely with sunny days and mild winds which have helped to dry out the mud, not all of it though. Still very muddy at the T and behind vans.

Anytime you would like to come up to return boats etc from now to over the weekend would be great.

It's a little cloudy with a 36% chance of rain, which is looking unlikely.

Cattai is open, not sure on Sackville ferry, Lower Portland is open.

Please don't ask us to return your boats etc as Dave and I do not want that responsibility.
Thanks πŸ‘

Dave and I have driven through Dargle in his car. It's still deep, trye height. We wouldn't use anything smaller.

The river has come down, which is very relieving.

As we have more rain coming, we are going to leave all boats etc up top until the rain stops and the front of sheds has time to dry.

If you are planning on coming up, please be aware the mud on our roads, especially at the T and that the ground is holding a lot of water, especially behind vans towards the ramp and towards Lach's.

Info re: Steve

( this afternoon update...
we have not had a lot of rain through today, the river has risen slightly, let's hope it stays that way 🀞)

The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond (WPS) is likely to exceed the major flood level (10.50 m) around 1:00 pm Friday and may peak around 11.80 metres 6:00 pm Friday with major flooding. Flood levels will be well below the flood levels in March 2021 and March 2022.

The Hawkesbury River at Windsor (WPS) may reach around 9.80 metres overnight Friday into Saturday with moderate flooding.

The Hawkesbury River at Sackville is expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.60 m) around 2:00pm Friday afternoon. The river level may reach around 5.80 metres Friday evening with minor flooding.

While the Colo is low we usually stay 1.5m - 2m below Sackville. at the moment the Colo is low and falling. we are at 2.7m and expecting water levels about the same as we saw in 2020

Let's keep hoping🀞🀞https://www.facebook.com/138909949500099/posts/5151003688290675/

Right, got to the bottom of the damn Dam lol

The dam has been spilling on the automatic side gates since the flood.
There is still around 70mm to go before the main gates need to be opened and it's all dependant on rainfall in the catchment and so far they haven't received what was forecast.
If they do open the main gates and yes it's likely they will over the next couple of days then it's likely to reach heights of around 5 to 6 metres at Richmond, 4 or so at Windsor and a king high tide here.
Now don't crucify us if things don't turn out that way because as we all know mother nature is unpredictable and has a way of keeping us on our toes!
We all need to be on alert but we do need to calm the hype down about the gates opening on the dam and creating a huge flood.
Take care, stay safe, be kind!

We had John, Benny's dad from last year call in tonight. They are starting Monday. Van's will be done last. We need you here this weekend to get your site's sorted. We also need all rubbish from shed's moved to the roadside as NO vehicles can go between road and shed's. We need some big muscles this weekend to get this all sorted. Please come up to help everyone who needs a hand xx
