At the studio we get asked all the time for recommendations on local businesses, and if there’s one person I’ll always recommend, it’s Luke at LJL Motors.
I’ve been using Luke for over 10 years. While he was away, I had to use another mechanic who replaced a wheel bearing and told me the remaining noise was coming from somewhere else. As soon as Luke got back, he checked it over and found the bearing wasn’t fitted correctly and collapsed.
I took it back to the original mechanic to fix it because of warranty and, I s**t you not, it happened again almost overnight. At that point I just paid Luke to do it properly because I couldn’t trust them to touch it again.
One thing you’ll find about Luke is that he’s honest and doesn’t f**k around. If something needs fixing, he’ll tell you. If it doesn’t, he’ll tell you that too.
Much like our studio, it’s a one-man show. When you book with Ben, you get Ben. When you book with Luke, you get Luke.
Luke has spent his whole life working on cars. He’s seen, diagnosed and fixed more problems than most people could imagine, and that’s knowledge you can’t fake. I’d much rather pay the standard hourly rate knowing Luke is the one under the bonnet than pay the same money elsewhere and have a junior doing the work while someone else supervises.
Good, honest tradespeople are hard to find. Luke is one of them. đź‘Ś
