A very full week at The Savoy, and a great good weekend to be hanging around Long Jetty! 🍻🎸 Here’s what we’ve got going on:

🎤 THURSDAY
Open Mic Night | 6:30–8:30pm
Come play, come watch, come support some local talent trying things out on our stage.

🎸 FRIDAY
Faith Williams Album Launch Show | 7:30–10:30pm
Then we’re rolling straight into Late Night Karaoke from 10:30pm–1:30am.

🍺 SATURDAY
Jason Cole live in the bar | 6–9pm | FREE ENTRY

And there’s plenty happening around town too, with our mates at Stella Tattoo celebrating their 5th Birthday Flash Day from 10am ’til late, plus Super Mega Awesome Smash Hamburgers and What’s On Long Jetty are putting on a micro music festival behind Shadow Bang from 2–7pm.

Make a day of Long Jetty and come see us for a drink while you’re at it.

Good live music, cold drinks, a Saturday night in Long Jetty and no ticket price standing between you and the dance floor. Sounds pretty good to us.

Another week of keeping the little theatre busy ❤️‍🔥 And this one’s got a bit of everything.

🧠 WEDNESDAY — Gameshow Trivia from 6:30pm. Get your smartest mates together. Or your loudest. Sometimes that works just as well.

🎤 THURSDAY — Open Mic Night from 6:30pm. A couple of songs, a room to try them in, and a crowd that actually wants to hear what local artists are working on.

🎸 FRIDAY — Ellis Undercover brings the Wildfire Tour into the theatre from 7:30pm. FREE SHOW.

Then from 10:30pm, we hand the microphones over to you for Late Night Karaoke until 1:30am.

🌞 SATURDAY ARVO — Pixie Minerva with special guest Gabilou Garnet from 3:30pm. $15 entry.

🎶 SATURDAY NIGHT — Prestige Inc. from 7:30pm. FREE ENTRY.

🍷 SUNDAY — we wind it back with a Jazz/Soul Sunday Session in the bar from 6:30pm. FREE ENTRY.

Five days. Live music. Local artists. Touring artists. People having a crack at Open Mic. People having an arguably less impressive crack at karaoke. A bit of trivia. A few drinks.

All happening inside our little corner of Long Jetty.

FYI, MUSIC LOVERS: YOU DON’T HAVE TO PLAY THE OPEN MIC TO COME TO THE OPEN MIC.

In fact, we’d really love it if you didn’t.

Thursday nights at The Savoy have always been about giving emerging artists a place to get up, try something out and be heard.

Maybe it’s a song they wrote last week. Maybe it’s something that hasn’t been released yet. Maybe it’s their first time playing it in front of anyone other than their bedroom wall.

That’s the good stuff.

But an open mic only really works if there are people on the other side of the stage listening.

So we want to make Thursday nights just as much about the people who love local music as the people making it.

Come upstairs. Grab a seat. Have a drink if you fancy one. And give a bit of your Thursday night to whoever is brave enough to get behind the mic.

Because we know going out on a school night can feel like a bit of a commitment at the moment. Everything costs more, everyone’s busy, and sometimes the couch wins.

We get it.

But this bit costs you nothing.

Come hear some live music. Discover someone you’ve never heard before. Bring a mate. Support an artist. Stick around for one song or stay for the lot.

The Savoy is mostly family-run. We don’t have some enormous master plan for this. We just really bloody love live music, we’ve got a stage, and we reckon emerging artists deserve somewhere to use it.

We’d love to see this little Thursday night thing grow into something pretty special... for the artists AND the people who want to see them.

So come up the stairs and sus out what’s going on, would ya?
