We took Silver whoohoo 2nd best ATSI Experience in Australia so proud of everyone involved

We’re kicking off the Australian Tourism Awards with Silver to Spirits of the Red Sand, who’ve taken out second for the ‘Award for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tourism’.

Sharing 60,000 years of culture with guests on Country, Spirits of the Red Sand took to the podium for this same award category in 2021. Congratulations to Australia’s second-best Indigenous experience!

Yura and hey there everyone !!
It’s been a wee while since we have posted, but we wanted to make sure we have all our ducks in a row before making any further announcements. The team at Spirits of the Red Sand are excited to announce a change of location to build on our reputation as an international leader in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tourism.
To get there, we have since currently paused our operations to refocus our energy into moving to a location that caters for an enhanced visitor experience in the Brisbane suburb of Logan.
We anticipate that we will be operating out of our new home in June and will make announcements closer to this date.

Happy New Year! From all of us at Spirits of the Red Sand we wish you a peaceful new year filled with every good thing. This is us just having fun before a cruise-ship performance. Gotta always enjoy yourself right!

2022... What a year! Re-sharing our favourite post that sums up our purpose - educating and empowering our young people towards a self-determined future.
Through floods; the launch of new daytime experiences for education and corporate groups, winning Gold at the Queensland & Australian Tourism Awards for 2021, Gold for Queensland Tourism Awards for 2022 (and finalists in the Australian Tourism Awards for 2022 with winners announced in March 2023), to our 3rd annual NAIDOC Wild Foods & Cultural Festival held in July this year with over 2500 in attendance and welcoming international visitors back to our shores.

One thing we will always remember is your support - we could not do this without you. Spirits of the Red Sand is a small family-owned business just trying to make a difference and when we look out and see you all in the audience, so excited to share in our culture and our stories, we feel beyond humbled and blessed.

The cast and crew at Spirits of the Red Sand are going to take a Christmas/New Year's break until 2 January 2023.

Our reservations team opens up on 2 January 2023.
Our first Aboriginal dinner show of the New Year is on 7 January 2023 - but hurry and book now and seats are nearly sold out!

We'll still be here sharing our culture though and available through messenger for any questions.

Only two more sleeps until Christmas, here's us getting ready for our American cruise guests' Aboriginal Dinner show tonight.

A big shout-out to our Aboriginal head-chef's Leanne and Norm. They worked hard during COVID to get their full commercial cookery qualifications to make sure our dinner is the best you'll have your whole holiday.
