On Tuesday, PS’s Lisa and country music legend Tania Kernaghan joined Loretta and Craig on ABC 612 ABC Brisbane Breakfast to chat about the upcoming Country Music Showdown at the Ekka.

This exciting competition gives emerging country artists the chance to perform live, build industry connections, and compete for over $2,000 in prizes - including an Artist Development Workshop for CMS finalists at Performance Studio, featuring Tania Kernaghan.

The energy, the lights, the sound, and the atmosphere all hit differently in the moment everything came together in front of the crowd. HOT TAKE: The car is one of the WORST places to practice singing

Singing is a complex motor skill that demands focus, coordination, body awareness, and active listening all working together. While the car can be a great space to listen to repertoire or do gentle, low-effort warm-ups, it’s not ideal for real practice.

Your best singing happens when your brain and body can fully focus on what they’re doing—without distractions—so you can build control, awareness, and consistency where it actually counts.
