HEADS UP: The 'Wild Food Festival' is coming on Saturday, 21 February. Main Street, Lithgow, will be closed to traffic and open to an evening of vibrant activity.

The inaugural Seven Valleys Wild Food Festival centres on Main Street, Lithgow, with the feature event from 6pm - 10pm. If you would like to make the most of your visit, we also have a series of talks from 1pm - 5pm at the nearby Union Theatre.

Visitors can explore a curated market of local producers and artisans, enjoy boutique food and drink, and experience live music and cooking demonstrations at the WildFire Kitchen Stage. It is an opportunity to taste, discover, and connect in the heart of Lithgow.

Wild food comes from an untamed world. It is gathered, foraged, discovered, or produced beyond the boundaries of conventional processes. It may be native or invasive, ancient or new. It can be grown or created with care and attention - whether through traditional methods or wild ways.

Whether foraged or cultivated, prepared in a kitchen or cooked over an open fire, wild food always maintains a deep connection to the wider ecosystem, to community, and to culture.

Wild Foodies are people who imagine future food systems that are sustainable, accessible, and grounded in freedom.

Gang Gang Gallery - At the heart of what we do is a commitment to supporting artists and strengthening the cultural life of our region. We value creativity, diversity, collaboration and the importance of having spaces where ideas can be explored and shared. We are proud to contribute to Lithgow’s growing arts community and to provide a place where artists can be seen, heard and valued.

Gang Gang Gallery is a space to connect and reflect — a place where art becomes a pathway to community, conversation and creativity.

Georgia O'Keeffe saw the value in expression through art.
It is a valuable tool for anyone but especially for children who often feel things long before they have the words for them.
Drawing gives those feelings somewhere to go — onto paper, through colour, shape, and movement. It becomes a way of saying “this is how I feel” without needing to explain it perfectly.
