🌹 Rehearsals are underway! 🌹
The magic has officially begun as our cast and crew bring Beauty and the Beast the Musical to life! From learning music and choreography to creating unforgettable characters, there's plenty of excitement brewing in the theatre.
Did you know? 🎭 Beauty and the Beast premiered on Broadway in 1994 and became Disney's first stage musical. It received nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, and went on to become one of the longest-running and most beloved family musicals in Broadway history.
📽 The original 1991 animated film was also a landmark in cinema history, becoming the first animated feature ever nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. It won Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song (‘Beauty and the Beast’), helping cement its place as one of Disney's most beloved classics.

Once upon a time, a talented cast came together to tell a '𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒆 𝑨𝒔 𝑶𝒍𝒅 𝑨𝒔 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆' and introduce the principal and supporting cast of Lithgow Musical Society's production of 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧 💙❤️
Joined by our fantastic ensemble, they'll fill the stage with spectacular music, dazzling characters and a little Disney magic. We can't wait for you to '𝑩𝒆 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑮𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕!' 💛

ＢＥ　ＰＡＲＴ　ＯＦ　ＯＵＲ　ＮＥＸＴ　ＰＲＯＤＵＣＴＩＯＮ!
After our last journey to 1950s New York, the Musical Society will be moving to picturesque France for our next production - Disney’s ‘Beauty & the Beast’ 🥀 Staging November 2026.
We're looking for performers - of high school age and up - to be part of this wonderfully fun musical.
Auditions will take place mid July and rehearsals will get underway on Monday 20th July 2026 at the Union Theatre.
